I stitched one pattern out of these magazines a number of years ago. It was a beautiful sunflower sampler with crows. So lately I have been flipping through every issue at the local bookstore hoping for something along those lines. Unfortunately, I found these magazines to be rather redundant and every pattern has practically the same style. I am beginning to feel that once you seen one of these magazines you have seen them all. I have no problem with arts-n-craft or country themes, and I LOVE quilts and tole-painting, and I liked the verses and topics that the patterns were focused on, but I need variety. I like many different styles of patterns, floss colors, artists, realism, other cultures, nature scenes, etc. This magazine just did not fit what I was looking for. This magazine is wonderful and customer service is great. The patterns are the "country" look, more like folk art, with wonderful samplers and my favorite the "country shoppes" that occurs in most October issues. These are so cute I want to do them all and you can order back issues at a very reasonable price. The charts are very easy to read, because they are not on the glossy paper like other magazines are. They also offer for sale the material you need to complete the project, along with great frames at a reasonable price. I like doing one of their patterns while I am doing a more "difficult" project, for a great "break" and a relaxing time, the only problem is you don't want to stop their projects to go back to the harder ones. They use a lot of the "new" overdyed threads too, which are so pretty. This is a great magazine for a great price, and I love the scripture that is included on many projects. Can't give this one up! It has great idea's, charts and an easy way to understand how to design what you are doing. Just love this!
