Read Best Reviews of Alaska Here
This is a very interesting magazine, as it always has been, but the paper it is now printed on is just awful. At the same time that I was reading the latest issue, I was also reading a magazine called Fine Books and Collections. When you compare the two, Alaska Magazine looks like a piece of junk. The colors in the photos are subdued. The texture of the paper just jumps out at you. I read that they chose this paper because it tears less in shipping. Reminds me of how "they" ruined the tomato by making it indestructible for shipping. I hope Alaska Magazine comes to their senses and uses paper like I saw in Fine Books and Collections magazine.Originally ordered this magazine because of an article about Ladd AFB. I lived there in the 50's and it brought back many memories. There is so much that can be told about life in those days.My family moved from Nellis AFB in Las Vegas Nevada to Alaska. A dramatic life change, two opposite climates.
