If you're a serious aircraft modeler (modeller for the English amongst you) then SAM is the magazine for you. In addition to articles written by some of the most competent modelers in the industry you get three-view drawings and reference stories almost every month. I highly recommend this magazine.
I recently purchased a subscription to Scale Aircraft Modeling through Amazon.com. This magazine is published in Great Britain as are may other outstanding scale modeling magazines. I have found Scale Aircraft Modeling on occasion in book stores and hobby shops, but no place where I can have regular access. I found by accident I could get a subscription through Amazon and took advantage of it. It is expensive but also high quality. In order to give an honest review, I think one would have to consider several issues at once. This particular issue did not deal with subjects I am interested in; however I believe the next issue will. Overall the quality of the magazine including the graphics and the writing is very good. I have been building models almost 50 year starting in Cub Scouts in the mid 1960's. I am not a master, but I am able to improve my skills through reading publications like Scale Aircraft Modeler. Plus I already have more models that I can build for the next 25 years--since I don't need to buy more reading about how to build them well is very satisfying.
