I subscribed to this magazine because I am teaching myself French, and intend to visit France someday. This magazine really makes you want to get there. The photos are beautiful, and the articles are well-written and very informative.I particularly loved the page-by-page journey through very small hamlets and villages.I am learning a lot of different things about France.I intended to only visit Paris, but the descriptions and pictures of other areas of France have convinced me to make it an extended trip when I do go.Those little villages have so much history to show us.
I can't recommend this magazine enough. For any Francophiles out there, this is the magazine for you!!

I have subscribed to this magazine two different times in the past few years. I miss it every time my subscription ends. I am now going to subscribe to it a third time since I miss it so much!As a French teacher who organizes student and adult trips to discover this beautiful country, I find this magazine to be a fantastic tool. It highlights different areas in detail and provides lots of variety and incredible photography. I am very familiar with some of the locations they write about, and their information is correct. Their cultural pieces are authentic and up-to-date. The only part that is annoying is that it is expensive.
My husband and I have saved every single issue we have received and regularly refer back to them to look over new areas we are planning to introduce to new groups of students and adults. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Makes a unique gift to any Francophile and could maybe convert Francophobes to the better side...I first ordered this magazine as a Christmas gift in 2005 for a friend. She loves it, and I'll definitely renew it for her when the time comes. This Christmas (2006) I just bought another subscription to this magazine for relatives who are very familar with France and enjoy its language and culture. I'm sure they'll be pleased.
