Gulf Coast Fisherman
Worth the money. This is the best Fishing magazine ever created, with the fishing forecast and the tide readings it tells you exactly when to go and when to stay away.
you spend more time catching and less time wasted guessing on when where and how, filled with more tips than you can handle and stories that make you wish it were you. My fishing has greatly increased from catching once in a while to catching fish every single time I go whether its day fishing or night fishing.
it has even helped me to safely drive 25 miles down the coast just by knowing when low tides are there. thank you Gulf Coast Fisherman I am a lady angler and because of your information I see many veteran anglers approaching me and asking what am I doing to be catching fish when they cant.

Airbrush Action
The zine has evolved over the years and is just as hard core airbrushing as it was "way back when" as it is now. The presentation of the articles just gets a bit slicker each year. The product reveiws are honest. If somebody sends them a pice of junk then they right a nice "nasty gram" about it even if that junk is advertised in that very months issue! The editers have grit! And, if they strike gold the share the wealth, too. They are not stingy with good info.
Once a year the zine has a projecter, airbrush, aircompressor, paint product cross reference info chart. I.e. if your into this then you might want to check this configuration out. It'very handy to have. I have switched from one brand of acrylic paints to another with much appreciated results. (Both brands were good, just one had a better aplication towards what I wanted to accomplish at the time)
Any waythe skinny on this subject is: before you buy a set up if you are a novice, then buy this zine first before you spend alot of cash. If you make a living in the A.B. world then you need this publication so you can make more cash. This zine represents ppl from all areas of airbrushing, from fine art illustraters to ultra cool death metal bikes. Heck, some ppl get it just for the cool art in it.I Cannot belive how long its taking to recive this magazine. I tryed purchessing it last year by check but after 5 months of waiting I cancled the order. Now I ordered it again this time using a creditcard hopeing it would arrive sooner but here its is 2 months later and still nothing and to top it off they keep pushing back the estimated delivery date. I have to say how unhappy I am with this. You can't beat this mag. All the top Pro's giving all the right tip's, all the best news, the top shows, and much more. The industries best from all walks of airbrushing life contribute to this mag. It's really hard to top that. Product reviews, buyers guides, airbrush instruction. Everybody has been in this mag, from Olivia (many times), to most recently Hajime Sorayama. It covers everything. Automotive, T-Shirts, Illustration, Dru Blairs Total Realism, Painting models, body painting. All the products you'll need are advertised in here. You can't miss with this magazine.I have ordered this magazine for years and it does have some good articles. But be warned, they are often excerpts from videos or hocking products produced by the company. At least 75% of the mag is straight ads. It seems like they are always hocking their getaways or endless compressor/projector reviews. It reminds me of Hot Rod a lot, long on pretty pictures, light on hands on advice.

I subscribed to this magazine because I am teaching myself French, and intend to visit France someday. This magazine really makes you want to get there. The photos are beautiful, and the articles are well-written and very informative.I particularly loved the page-by-page journey through very small hamlets and villages.I am learning a lot of different things about France.I intended to only visit Paris, but the descriptions and pictures of other areas of France have convinced me to make it an extended trip when I do go.Those little villages have so much history to show us.
I can't recommend this magazine enough. For any Francophiles out there, this is the magazine for you!!

I have subscribed to this magazine two different times in the past few years. I miss it every time my subscription ends. I am now going to subscribe to it a third time since I miss it so much!As a French teacher who organizes student and adult trips to discover this beautiful country, I find this magazine to be a fantastic tool. It highlights different areas in detail and provides lots of variety and incredible photography. I am very familiar with some of the locations they write about, and their information is correct. Their cultural pieces are authentic and up-to-date. The only part that is annoying is that it is expensive.
My husband and I have saved every single issue we have received and regularly refer back to them to look over new areas we are planning to introduce to new groups of students and adults. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Makes a unique gift to any Francophile and could maybe convert Francophobes to the better side...I first ordered this magazine as a Christmas gift in 2005 for a friend. She loves it, and I'll definitely renew it for her when the time comes. This Christmas (2006) I just bought another subscription to this magazine for relatives who are very familar with France and enjoy its language and culture. I'm sure they'll be pleased.

House Beautiful (1-year auto-renewal)
For some reason even the articles in this magazine get lost because they have the same look as their ads. One article was suppose to be tips from over 125 top designers what it really was 125 designers listed with addresses and phone #s and a couple of tips on each page of that section.
I'm really disappointed. For a GREAT magazine, try Southern Living. For a REALLY GOOD magazine, try Better Homes and Gardens.

This magazine is a good source of inspiration ... however, unless you are a professional interior designer, there is a strong likelihood that you will find this magazine intimidating, as I do ... still, the photos are wonderful.Read Best Reviews of House Beautiful (1-year auto-renewal) Here
This magazine comes with lots of advertisements 70% or more. Plus, articles (less than 15 articles in every issue) in the magazines are not very useful. I subscribed the magazine because it is inexpensive and it is rated high by other subscribers. Now I realize I made a mistake.I love House Beautiful! It gives so many wonderful ideas. This is a collection of ecclectic styles, patterns, and methods that will suit anyone's taste. And these ideas aren't hard to follow. With the smallest effort, anyone can follow the look they have in the magazine.Monday, October 28, 2013
American Girl
Several reviewer have complained that the magazine is short and expensive. It is. But here's why: there is NO advertising (short of anything American Girl related). In many magazines, advertising accounts for easily half the pages. And advertising enables publishers to sell magazines for a low cost. AG has no advertising and so has to charge a fair price to produce it. I'm more than willing to pay for that kind of publication.
Parents ordering for your daughters, you know your girl. If you've got a 10 year old going on 16, this may not be for your child. If you have a precocious 6 year old, she might like it as well. AG is the kind of magazine I'm glad my daughters enjoy.I am a sixteen-year-old former reader of American Girl who looked forward to it every month during elementary school. This magazine (as well as the entire company's products) encourages learning, thinking, creativity, independence, appreciation of the past, love of diversity, and self-expression. Finally in a world where half the women are encouraged to just be sex toys and the other half are taught that they should be obedient, unambitious, lower-class citizens and somehow enjoy their subhumanity, there is a voice telling girls to dream big, play hard, and explore themselves and their world. Educational, entertaining, and inspiring.

I'm a magazine major in college, and I'm studying AG this semester. I actually wanted to thank you all for your great comments on Amazonbeleive it or not, they're really helpful for my research paper!I was a huge fan of AG as a young girl, and honstly, even at 18 I'm finding that more than just researching the magazine, I'm really enjoying reading it. This is, in my opinion, the only respectable magazine left for young girls. It will never ask you to grow up too quickly or to change who you are. It will never tell you there's a certain way to act around boys, or wear your hair, or paint your lips. It doesn't insult with dribble about scandals and celebrities. AG glorifies girls. It asks their input, and really cares about the feedback (yes, I found out from interviewing the founding editor that they actually file every piece of reader mail for future reference). I urge you to get this publication for your daughters. It is truly exceptional.I ordered this magazine for my daughter for her eighth birthday, and she loves it! She is approaching her 11th birthday and she still loves this magazine. There is something in it for girls from every background. This magazine gets my highest possible recommendation.

Hadassah Magazine
large and easy to read. ( Years ago, it was a large-tabloid size,
news-print affair....but, thank goodness, it has become more stream-
lined, and....even if there is less info in it, at least it is of
a paper type more ameniable to people reading and keeping it! )
The articles have toned down as well...they are now more centrist, and
some articles even have an Arab perspective or two, a sympathetic
and Humanistic view. This is all to the good...as the stridency of
years past was something very difficult for me to read.
However....HADASSAH officially calls itself: "HADASSAH INTERNATIONAL"
-or at least it does in its excellent "YOUTUBE" videos... I always expected at least half the material to be on what Jewish people -and particularly,
Jewish women -were doing around the world. But no...it is all slanted
to Israel, and what the people THERE are doing. Once in a while, a
four-to-eight page supplement, "THE AMERICAN SCENE", is added, (at least in the American edition....I can only hope other countries at least have supplements entitled: "The Canadian Scene", "The Canadian Scene", etc., as
well -but even this is not what I had always expected....quite the
reverse!) If HADASSAH, INTERNATIONAL is indeed an INTERNATIONAL Jewish organization and magazine....shouldn't
at least half of every issue be devoted to what Jewish women, WORLD-WIDE,
are doing?
In one issue, years ago, it was stated that "being Jewish, and FEELING
Jewish are two different things." I guess they were right in this.
Somehow, though born Jewish, I have never really FELT Jewish. I have
always felt simply HUMAN, like the rest of Humanity. To me, ethnic
differences pale beside the great simularities that make EVERYONE
A HUMAN Being. Perhaps HADASSAH Magazine would gain a wider reader-
ship -of both Jews and Gentiles -if they were to concentrate on
SIMULARITIES between Jews and others, and not the differences. In
dping so, HADASSAH could go a long way in fighting anti-semitism...
because it's real hard to hate people who are more similar than
differnt from you.
HADASSAH Magazine has come a long way from the xenophobic, almost
paranoid publication it was twenty years ago. I can only hope it
will continue -by showing more articles on WORLDWIDE Jewish life,
-and so reflect, more correctly, upon the name, 'HADASSAH, INTERNATIONAL", and also maybe even have a few articles on world-wide
Christian, Moslem, Buddist, and Humanist life. My rabbi
taught us that all people are equal under ONE God. Only God is different.
And we are ALL His equally-beautiful creations! This Humanistic side of
Judaism should be emphasized, I feel...in HADASSAH Magazine, and elsewhere. It can only serve to make everyone feel more comfortable with each other, world-wide!This is a magazine I grew up with. I always liked its warm inspiring articles about life in Israel. Usually it has excellent photography, and its articles are colorful.
It is a magazine which for years has been read with pleasure in thousands of Jewish homes.
