Mustang Monthly (1-year auto-renewal)
I've been a subscriber for less than a year, and I've already been able to replace brake lines, upgrade my rear end, and read about other Mustang projects to get ideas.
This is not a pure stock Mustang magazine. Rather, it is a nice mix of RESTOMOD and stock. I even read the ads.
Bottom line: If you're into classic Mustangs, this magazine is a must read.If you're into classic Mustangs, this is the only magazine. Great features on rare cars, plus technical Q&A and detailed how-to articles. I never want to throw one away. Highly recommended!

I have subscribed to or store bought this magazine almost since its inception. If I could buy only one magazine for the rest of my life, this is the one I'd choose. The hobby news, the feature cars, the tech articles are very useful and interesting. Ive saved all my past issues for reference and enjoyment.Read Best Reviews of Mustang Monthly (1-year auto-renewal) Here
I just got my first issue and I really like it. A lot of detail but not overly technical. Good job.mustang magazine was bought for a mechanic and mustang enthusiast. He seems to enjoy the magazine and the information in it, so seems good to me.Wednesday, July 16, 2014

This was the greatest gift I could have ever purchased for my son, who is a die hard chevy man! They need to speed up the process to begin receiving magazines... I ordered a month ago and still haven't received a magazine. Probably not Amazon's issue, but they need to put the heat on these publishers to get their act together. With the trouble publishers are in, given internet media, you'd think they would try a little harder...Sunday, May 18, 2014
Alternative Press Magazine (1-year auto-renewal)
Anyway, I love this magazine. It offers a plethora of articles about your favorite bands and ones you may have never heard of. Thanks to this magazine, I discovered some of my favorte bands of all time (The Matches, The Pink Spiders, etc.). There are also atricles about unsigned bands, fashion (although it's usually only a page long), and the history of music, among other things. I often read issues cover to cover. Overall, an enthralling read everytime. Basically, if you love alternative music, you need to get this magazine. Otherwise, you're missing out.It brightens my day whenever I see an AP sitting in muh mailbox. I agree that you shouldn't give a bad review just becasue a product hasn't come in yet. Don't let the 2 star reviews fool you, AP is just about the greatest printed source there is for music. I discovered almost every band on my mp3 player from this magazine. But I will say, if you're not into really AMAZING music, stick with your local radio station and order a subscription of J14. :P

I would like to start off by commenting on why this magazine subscription has such a low rating. Almost all magazine subscriptions I have purchased through Amazon take a few months to start receiving. It took about 4-5 months for me to get my first issue of Alt Press. Expect that delay. For the very low magazine prices on Amazon, I think its worth it. This is a very good magazine for those that enjoy Alternative Rock music. One of my favorite features of the magazine is the up and coming album release schedule it gives you in the first few pages.Read Best Reviews of Alternative Press Magazine (1-year auto-renewal) Here
When I was a teenager and in my early twenties, the monthly AP was a prized gift in my mailbox. Since I've hit my 30's it has lost touch with me and I feel my generation. It does focus on new and upcoming bands and goes a little heavy on the whole "style" thing. Nothing really to interesting unless your a teenager or in your 20's and hanging onto something. The one and only reason I'm giving it four stars is the fact that the reviews are honest and a gazillion times better than Rolling Stone or Spin. Though given that Spin and Paste are now my music magazines of choice. I will no longer purchase an AP just read the reviews while I'm at the newsstand.Want Alternative Press Magazine (1-year auto-renewal) Discount?
Awesome magazine if you enjoy being up on the latest news of the underground music scene of today's youth. Not saying I wouldn't change a thing or two, but I'm just a perfectionist like that. It's about relatively new genres such as screamo and alternative. It's also full of unsigned bands that send in a photo and a short bio, and then Alternative Press (AP) listens to them and tells you what other bands they resemble (if any) and what song they recommend for you to listen to by them. I've renewed my subscription, being an avid scene kid that misses the scene, and I intend to renew for the rest of my life. It's my kind of magazine. They also add bonuses inside periodically like zines, patches, stickers, bracelets, assorted merch and compilation cds. I find things inside my magazine multiple times a year. If you open one, there will undoubtadley be an ad inside for buying previous editions of the magazines-as most magazines offer. This page is plastered with epic covers they've shot with national monsters like Nirvana, Blink 182, Green Day, Hatebreed. The point is, this magazine covered these bands before during and after they made it. Nothing else I've encountered comes close to that. This is a positive piece of media making huge strides for the little guys in the music industry. It's about time somebody did.Thursday, March 6, 2014
C T Digital Photography
No other photography magazine offers "how-to" articles in as much depth as those articles printed in C't Digital Photography. While other magazines touch on a topic with only enough information to whet the appetite, how-to articles in C't Digital Photography go into painstaking detail on a range of photography topics. Though I am new to DSLR photography (which makes the timing of this magazine's introduction to the states perfect), I really believe that C't Digital Photography offers an incredibly well thought-out variety of articles to satisfy beginner and pro alike. The cover price is a bit of a shocker at first, but when you consider the hours of learning to be had from a single issue (it's a little like National Geographic, in that it begs to be read from cover to cover), its amortized cost is cheap.
An example of the type of article I'm referring to comes from issue #4. The article, Manual Lens Adapters for DSLRs, explained in fascinating detail the ins-and-outs of adapting older SLR lenses to modern digital cameras, and offered countless images detailing an array of combinations of cameras/adapters/lenses.
C't Digital Photography is a wonderful photography magazine; when my new issue arrives I shove away all other reading material in favor of devouring the latest information uninterrupted. For a great many years now i have been purchasing photographic magzines and books, to satiate my interest in this burgeoning new technology of digital photography. Although i subbed to a few Americal issue like Popular Photography and Shutterbug, i was always drawn to Photo mags from the UK. My favorites being Digital Photographer, and Amateur Photographer, and the more eclectic ones like B&W and Digital photo Pro. For the most part i was happy with those, and they helped me to develop my knowledge and skills as we went along on our ride together. And then came C't Digital Photography Magazine, published by Heise and renowned Photography book publisher Rocky Nook Inc, responsible for books like Alan Briot's "Marketing Fine art Photography" and Stephen Laskevitch's "Photoshop CS5 and Lightroom 3 A Photographer's Handbook" as well as many other indispensible photography guides.
To say i was imapacted by this magazine, is a tremendous understatement. I found it on the shelf of my local Barnes & Noble, and spent a hour reading issue 4 (the current issue at that time) in the Cafe'. $14.95 is a lot to pay for a magazine normally, but this one was such a breath of fresh air, that i didnt take long to convince my self it was worth it (keep in mind i am Scottish, and spending money is anathema to me). Not only did i decide to purchase the mag at the Store, I logged on to my laptop and ordered all the back issues available, which excluded issue 2 as they were out of stock on that. So to get the missing issue, i went to Ebay, and ordered it from a seller there...all before leaving the Store with my initial magazine.
So what makes this magazine worth all that effort? One, its a European magazine, and because of the differences in paper stock there, the magazine is physically bigger (and everyting bigger is better in the USA). So whats the content like? Well most of the other mags i had been used to covered that same ground, ie photographic techniques, Hardware reviews, etc but i was always left feeling unfulfilled, and had to go to the web to complete the knowledge i was being fed in these mags, It was a little like the soundbites you get on American News stations...just enough to hook your interest..then on to the next item..not so with C't Digital Photography. The articles are indepth, technically complete and entertaining. The use of charts, Tables and photographs help to illustrate the information being offered, but more to the point the articles are PAGES long. Issue one has a Manual Lens Article looking at manual V's Autofocus lenses and the practice of using Lens ring adapter on older, high quality manufacturers such as Leica, Ziess and even Canon..for use with modern digital cameras. The article is 22 pages long, and includes lens tests, detailed info on the hardware used and samples to illustrate the differences between focal lengths, aperture settings, image sharpness across the whole image...Incredible. This is a textbook quality article in a Magazine. Each magazine starts with a Portfolio, a snapshot of the work and philosophy of an innovator in the world of photography, and how he or she became an inspiration to others. Issue one is an interview with Enno Kapitza, renowned Japanese photographer, and abstract photographer Maak Roberts appears in issue 5.
There are Software tutorials, and guides..issue one covers Photoshop CS5 and Elements 8 while Issue 2 has a GIMP Master class, a series of workshops covering techniques useful to the beginner to advanced user, of this wonderful Free and incredibly powerful software package. There are articles that cover how to get great Bokeh (blur) on your images, to using DSLR Cameras for Video. Issue 5 has a huge article on 3D Photography, its development, and current techniques for taking your own 3D images. Theres an article that looks at the various photo Apps available for iPhone and Android, with tests and comparisons. Issue 4 covers Macro photography in detail and Issue 3 takes us into the world of GPS tagging and travel photography. Attached to each issue is a DVD full of useful software, plugins, video guides and tutorials..with links to downloads and discounts from many major software producers.
Perhaps the reason the articles and tests are so indepth and detailed is this magazine is a quarterly issue. Perhaps because they are not rushing to meet weekly or monthly deadlines, the editorial staff and contributors can take some pride in producing a magazine unlike any other availabile in quality and content, in todays over populated photographic media circus. I say Congratulations and THANK YOU for fulfilling my expectations every issue. If you never buy another photo magazine in your ilfe, SUBSCRIBE to this one...you will not regret it.

Martha Stewart Weddings (1-year auto-renewal)
Buy Martha Stewart Weddings (1-year auto-renewal) Now
Martha puts out the absolute best wedding magazine there is. It's worth every penny, too bad there is only one issue per season. Being engaged one year left me only four issues before the wedding-so order early!Read Best Reviews of Martha Stewart Weddings (1-year auto-renewal) Here
I get Martha Stewart's, Brides, and Bridal Guide magazines. (I'm a magazine addict... and there was a magazine sale on Amazon...) The price for this magazine is a little high... and I don't really like that there are only 4 a year. (Brides is 12 and Bridal Guide is 6.) This magazine is definitely more crafty than any other wedding magazine out there, which is expected since it's a Martha Stewart product.I think it's definitely more geared for decoration than dresses for example, but the ideas are fun... and even nice for non-wedding things. The main drawback I feel is that I am signed up to their email newsletter, and I feel like I basically get the magazine in bits and pieces throughout the 4 month period for free... Obviously, it's a little different to have a hard copy in front of you versus looking online at things... that's the main reason I still get the magazine... but I would say for the most part all the cool ideas are available through their wedding website...

If I could give this magazine more than 5 stars, I would. Martha helped me organize, plan, decorate, and personalize my wedding with her creative and affordable do-it-yourself ideas. With all the other bridal magazines out there that simply consist of advertisements and small articles on meaningless details, or things even a man would know about weddings, MSW stands out from the pack, and thank goodness. I am a graphic designer and wanted my wedding to be personalized and unique, and, well, "me." This magazine has great ways to pull your ideas together for the full package not just how to create name cards for example, but templates for you to take and make your own. Every issue I read cover to cover, and then went back for more. Don't waste your time and money on any other bridal magazine unless you just care about what nail color is hot for brides, or the best way to wear your hair if it is long... blah blah blah. This is it, as a recently wed bride, I swear by it.
