Web Designer - England - Incls CD-Rom
Each issue has a CD with typically cool stuff...trial or full programs (both PC and MAC), add-ins for Adobe titles, website templates, graphics, fonts, and more. Heck, the software alone is worth the price of the mag.
I'm building quite a library of images, fonts, templates, and icons just from the CDs in the issues I've purchased.
Incidentally, this is a UK (British) publication. This explains (a) the high price, (b) the funky spelling of some words, and (c) the prices listed in pounds.
I suggest you buy a few issues from a local store to see if you're going to get your money's worth from a subscription. I happen to live about 60 miles from the nearest bookstore chain that carries this title. Driving time and fuel costs make a subscription worth it for me. (I want that disk!)
Enjoy!

Pop Star
Another thing I like about this magazine is that it's legnthy (each issue is 100 pagees), and there aren't any advertisements, either. The magazine has frequent exclusive interviews and pictures with celebrities that can't be found anywhere else. Additionally, Popstar covers the month's best CDs, new artists to watch out for, embarrasing moments stories, horoscopes, a bit of fashion and beauty, and more. For those who want an interesting, informational celeb magazine, Popstar would be a great choice.I think it was a little better in 2004 but it's still a nice mag! For those who love Celeberity gossip (like myself) except I wish it would "grow up" a bitbut I still wanna subscription for it!!!!!!!! The quizzes are really cool plus theres no health crap like in SEVENTEENso I'd reccomend this.I bought this subscription as a gift for my 10 year old daughter who just loves these types of magazines. This one seems to be the best of the bunch with lots of posters and all her favorite stars (everyone affliated with Disney or Teen Nick). At the time of purchase it was the best deal for the amount of issues received. This is a great magazine. My 9 year old loves it. I highly recommend it as a first time subscription through amazon. BUT about 6 months into your subscription you'll get emailed from amazon asking to renew it. Don't do it!! I ended up with a double subscription and had to call customer service at the magazine to change it to a 'renew'.Okay, I don't care if you are a guy or a girl you will all love this magazine! I don't care what the others say! This does have life stories (embarrassing moments and things like that) They even include the stars in those. Also they have fasion tips and horoscopes (the horoscopes are more for the girls though). Also they give you advice on great CDs and movie that are out there! You learn all about what the star are up to and there are tons of cool contests. I really love all the pictures and posters. I also love that they talk about stars that aren't the biggest names yet like Stevie Brock, Chris Trousdale, Jesse McCartney, and Greg Raposo(just to name a few!) This magazine has it all and I absoulutly love it! I have NEVER missed an issue!

Super Chevy (1-year auto-renewal)
Buy Super Chevy (1-year auto-renewal) Now
This was the greatest gift I could have ever purchased for my son, who is a die hard chevy man! They need to speed up the process to begin receiving magazines... I ordered a month ago and still haven't received a magazine. Probably not Amazon's issue, but they need to put the heat on these publishers to get their act together. With the trouble publishers are in, given internet media, you'd think they would try a little harder...Wednesday, January 15, 2014
Performance Bikes
being as this magazine is based out of the U.K., ill be honest and say i was rather sceptical about subscribing to it. i used to get it at the local bookstores but one of them closed (borders) and the barnes/noble quit selling it. its my favorite magazine so i figured if i didnt try id never know.
i bought the year sub and sat back and waited....and everything worked out well.
ive since received 2 issues of PB straight from England. they ship them wrapped in plastic so both of them are in great shape.
if you like this mag and cant find it...bite the bullet and get it. it cost a bunch but to me its worth it.
.Great Britain publishes the world's best English language bike magazines, and Performance Bikes is my favorite. Always plenty of full color pictures of bikes. They don't skimp like American mags, trying to sell a year's subscription for 12 bucks. The only negative is how high the price has become. $150 a year! Too high. Ten years ago I was paying $55 a year. But they have great comparos on bikes, helmets, security gear, etc. Plus articles you just won't see in American magazines. Tagging along with a gang of guys who bait bike thieves by parking a bike in a high visibility area and then beating the crap out of thieves who try to steal it. Don't look for Harleys and choppers in this mag. Sportbikes and nothing but sportbikes.by far the best mag for sportbikes. no slow heavy stuff here, just fast hooligan fun!

Colors - French Edition
The concept of the magazine is "a magazine about the rest of the world". A hard promise, but it delivers. Each issue addresses one topic with excellent pictures and writing in two languages (English, French, Spanish, Italian). The topics have included: teenagers, family, Buddhist prayers, water, touch, race, mamma, etc.
The writing is sympathetic and informative. The pictures and graphics are eye-opening and sometimes shocking. Ads are minimal and are not usually mixed with the content. There is always a section where you can get more information.
Also, COLORS changes with the times. It occasionally comes in different sizes, occasionally it has come with two magazine in one issue and other variations. The latest issue (teenagers) has codes that you hold up to your computer camera when you are on their website and see the pictures come to life on your computer screen and hear the people in the pictures giving you more information about their lives.
I don't think that you save anything by buying a subscription. I got it because after reading this magazine for almost 20 years, I still don't want to miss a single issue. I can usually find it in the big-box bookstores, but I have missed a few that way.
Enjoy!the magazine is as good as you can imagine--each issue on a different subject, beautifully designed and written and bilingual, but you are lucky if you will get the magazine months after they send it from Italy --if you get it at all. They won't send them by air and they don't seem to sell them in stores unfortunately.
