Web Designer - England - Incls CD-Rom
Each issue has a CD with typically cool stuff...trial or full programs (both PC and MAC), add-ins for Adobe titles, website templates, graphics, fonts, and more. Heck, the software alone is worth the price of the mag.
I'm building quite a library of images, fonts, templates, and icons just from the CDs in the issues I've purchased.
Incidentally, this is a UK (British) publication. This explains (a) the high price, (b) the funky spelling of some words, and (c) the prices listed in pounds.
I suggest you buy a few issues from a local store to see if you're going to get your money's worth from a subscription. I happen to live about 60 miles from the nearest bookstore chain that carries this title. Driving time and fuel costs make a subscription worth it for me. (I want that disk!)
Enjoy!

Professional Photographer
If you're a professional portrait photographer who wants to learn new business ideas, earn more money, improve your marketing, or learn about what other Pros are doing, then first join PPA () and you'll get this magazine for free with membership. If you're not totally committed to the membership idea then try this magazine for a year. You won't be disappointed.
I read my issues cover to cover as soon as I get them. They're full of great information that I can apply to my business immediately. The writing is excellent and the magazine design has won several awards as well. This magazine offers bonus web content as well at . This is easily my favorite photography magazine.Professional Photographer is a solid, useful magazine for its intended audience -established professional portrait/wedding photographers, who already know their craft. If you are looking for basic (or exotic) techniques, try something else, like Photo Techniques. If you are interested in the current state of the *industry*, and ways to improve your business, as well as get some good ideas for new directions and techniques to try, read PP.

True Crime
For those who love true crime, this and other true crime magazines are definitely recommended. The only problem I have faced since moving to the States is the difficulty in obtaining these magazines in bookstores [and the subscription price isn't exactly cheap either!]. But the magazine definitely makes for riveting reading! My mother is a great fan of true crime stories, I remember her reading the American version of this magazine when I was growing up so was quite happy to find this available for her. Because of her health problems mother does not get out much anymore and spends her time reading and watching TV. She especially likes collections of short true crime reports, as exemplified by this magazine. This publication is expensive ($100 for 2 years) but a real treat for her.

I picked up this magazine in the Sears Tower lower level magazine and candy shop. It has some extremely good articles with real content and not just "self help material". Yet clear enough for most lay people with literary skills. So glad to see it offered through Amazon, as this UK publication did not have the normal insert for subscriptions. Cannot wait to have my subscription start!Read Best Reviews of Psychologies - England Here
