Mustang Monthly (1-year auto-renewal)

Mustang MonthlyMustang Monthly contains something for every classic Mustang lover. From interior resotration and upgrades to Electrical system troubleshooting, this magazine contains tons of useful tips and tricks every month.

I've been a subscriber for less than a year, and I've already been able to replace brake lines, upgrade my rear end, and read about other Mustang projects to get ideas.

This is not a pure stock Mustang magazine. Rather, it is a nice mix of RESTOMOD and stock. I even read the ads.

Bottom line: If you're into classic Mustangs, this magazine is a must read.

If you're into classic Mustangs, this is the only magazine. Great features on rare cars, plus technical Q&A and detailed how-to articles. I never want to throw one away. Highly recommended!

The New American

The New AmericanThe New American is the most accurate and truthful news magazine in the nation today. TRULY non-partisan, it portrays the news and unique perspective on the news and issues of importance without the politically correct filter of the general media, and without a partisan bias either. If you want a constitutionally accurate and historically accurate read on the things that are important to our nation and its future, this is the publication for you.

If you're sick of the blatantly biased news media, THE NEW AMERICAN is a great bi-weekly publication which gives you the opposing view not covered by the establishment media. One of the rare news magazines which is equally tough on both major political parties. This is the magazine the government doesn't want you reading. The articles in this magazine go behind the headlines to reveal what is really going on, which is rarely reported by the mainstream press. The publishers do not hide the fact that their articles are written from a constitutionalist perspective which means that they're critical of almost everything the federal government is doing (& not doing like enforcing our borders). They also expose the network of political elites who work behind the scenes through painstaking research. A must read for young libertarians and traditional conservatives!

This magazine prints alot of good articles, and keeps you thinking on what is really going on in the USA today. The most astonishing publications lately have been about NAFTA and the NAU.

I highly recommend a one year subscription. 26 issues for only $39.00.

Not bad for the price.

I would also recommend subscribing to Republic Magazine as well.

The New American is an amazing magazine... well-researched articles and the most important news pertaining to America and the freedoms of her people lie within!! :-) Great bits of education on the history of the united States. I highly recommend subscribing to this magazine, and sharing subscriptions with the people that you love and care about.

I subscribed to The New American about two years ago. I could not be happier! I don't think I will ever unsubscribe in my entire life. If you want to have an unbiased look at current events and much more, you cannot go without reading The New American. As a college student, I can't tell you how many times this has helped me in developing projects and simple assignments. Also, it will give you a rock-solid, unbiased perspective to share with others as I have so many times in class and outside of class. I can assure you, any person going up against an article from The New American will have a tremendously difficult time. Due to The New American's unbiased, unpolitically correct, and truthful nature, it exposes and demonstrates the truth that we all need to know and gives you rock-solid information. I personally sponsered a two-year subscription for my congressman and senator because I know this kind of news would do good to our nation. In reading this magazine, I would also dare to say that just by reading it, the magazine has directed me in the right direction concerning my college career and personal studies. Other than an informative news source, I would also call it a guide. If you decide to subscribe, I can assure you that there is no loss with The New American!

Asian Diver

Asian DiverLiving in northern Australia there are a range of Asian destinations that are closer to me than other parts of my own country. Hence my next dive is just as likely to be overseas as domestic. Which is where this magazine comes in. I'm not going to tell you it's the best dive magazine in the world because I haven't read them all but I will opint out a few things;

A) Firstly it is in English. There, that's said.

B) It is not overly expensive and has all the benefits of wonderful photography and by concentrating on Asian dive sites it is perhaps the perfect magazine to score yourself a copy or three of if you are considering travelling to that part of the world. Further if you already live in that divers paradise of a continent then you might as well subscribe.

C) The articles are well laid out and there is a variety of subjects covered. Just flicking through my last issue there are articles on ice diving, cave diving, the Dead Sea (not every article is about Asia) and as per many other magazines there is a selection of regular segments to back up the 'feature' articles.

If I have a criticism it is that once again we have a magazine somewhat more aimed at those with fairly significant budgets or who have had the time to get highly skilled at their craft. As per many other dive magazines (or any specialty magazine for that matter) there is a bit too much coverage given to 'dream scenario' stuff rather than things that you or I might actually be able to do with our more modest time/finances.

Selvedge

SelvedgeFinally a magazine for the brain. A teaching, critical thinking and, oh, so textural, that one can almost feel the fibres on the page. The photography is striking and allows the reader full access to the fibre art presented. It is filled with articles on BOTH sides of the pages, instead of constant ads for things we don't need. Food for the soul, heart and the mind.

It is a brave magazine for this time and age and one that deserves support by all fashion, interior and fibre artists. Delicious brain food.

I've been getting this magazine for a little over a year now. It's expensive, but well worth it if you're a textile fanatic. Good articles, gorgeous photography...even the ads are nice to look at.

This isn't your everyday glossy, one that is 'current' today and in a few months, old news and ready to retire to the waste bin. Selvedge is a magazine (more of a slim book to me) that you can easily place on your bookcase and refer to often for years to come. The theme is textiles, and as we all know, textiles date back thousands of years, so the topic alone is hard to tire of (especially if you are interested in textiles, the history of textiles, or the 21st century textile artists who are out there creating a more modern take on a traditional work). They spotlight some amazing leaders as well as 'rising stars' in the industry, and each page is 100% eye candy you'll really enjoy looking at all the full-color beauty in Selvedge alone. The articles are very informative, well-written, and the topics are all very interesting. The layout of the magazine is impressive, and the ads they do have are reserved for a particular section, and presented so well that you'll find yourself enjoying the ad space. Bottom line: Selvedge sparkles, an absolute must read, I highly suggest picking up a copy and supporting this top notch magazine.

From a world traveller and as an ethnographic fashion designer, I finally found a magazine that addresses a global perspective to fashion and crafts. Was just amazed at the dearth of profound and in depth articles and creative, sophisticated ads (albeit found mostly in the UK) that made me want to read each magazine over again. The magazine really brings together much of what I've seen, experienced, digested and produced from exposure to other ethnic cultures. Bravo!

What a wonderful, creative, informative magazine. I'd become so bored and jaded with the American magazines which all seem to look the same and say the same thing. Selvedge helps to reaffirm there are creative people out there creating!

Cloth Paper Scissors

Cloth Paper ScissorsMy wife loves this magazine, so I thought I'd buy her a subscription for her birthday. The price here at Amazon (as of May 17, 2005) is nearly 60% above the subscription price offered on the pull-out cards in the magazine.

Go to the magazine's web site and subscribe there. You'll save big over Amazon's price.

Cloth Paper Scissors is without a doubt the BEST magazine out there for mixed media artists. The magazine articles are beautifully done; lots of "how-to's"; easy to understand directions and dynamite photos.

The magazine's title captures the essence of each issue, which comes loaded with inspiration and practical how-to's. There's a good balance between emerging and professional artists and techniques. Each issue includes:

> Musings

> Now Read This

> The In-Box (mail)

> Popping the Question (topical)

> Who did this? (featured artist)

> The Workshop (technique)

> I Made This (readers' projects)

> Classifieds & Index

Additional techniques, artist profiles, and the results of readers' challenges round out the "Features" section of each issue. (QuiltingArts.com provides images of back issues along with the table of contents.)

CPS is printed on high grade paper with clean layouts and crisp, full-color photos. Highly recommended for anyone working in collage, fabric arts, and altered art. Subscription price is about 15% off the single issue price of $7.95/each.

France Magazine (1-year auto-renewal)

France MagazineI have subscribed to France magazine for three years now, without a glitch.

I love this magazine. It is beautifully presented, and chock full of information about all areas of France.I especially love the articles of small, quaint little villages. It makes me want to visit all of France, not just Paris as I originally intended.

I am so sorry the first reviewer has had so much trouble with the subscription.

I found a copy of this magazine in an old hotel in Hawaii and enjoyed it. Because we travel to France often, I thought it would be a way of keeping in touch with the culture during the years between visits. It's only been 5 weeks, but I haven't heard from anyone or received anything except for a review request. Funny.

I am among the few who still cherish the act of reading a magazine. Unlike most magazines that have let their struggles affect content, France Magazine manages to still entice me issue after issue. Aside from the wonderful articles are the amazing photos they use, worthy of being plucked out and framed!

I like the magazine as a whole,I really enjoy reading it but the delivery was terrible. My first issue arrives 4 or 5 later than expected, then they promised me to send me an extra issue as apology for the delay. And finally for my one year subscription I ended receiving a total of 3 issues. Don't worth it!

What I like most about this magazine is the focus on the best of French culture and does not include pop-culture drama, which is a waste of my time.

I look forward to this arriving and sit down to have a nice glass of wine on my patio as I read about interesting French events while improving my English skills.

Custom PC

Custom PCGreat pc magazine for the enthusiast or the open minded starter. Very detailed reviews with a reliable simple layout. My only complaint is that this is a european magazine, so some of the products they review aren't to avaliable in the US and prices are a bit different. With that minor complaint aside this is a helpfull and fun read. Its a newer magazine, its only been on the racks a little over 2 years but for what thay have accomplished in this time is none short of a wonderfull, solid, enjoyable reading experience.

I ordered this magazine in mid-November. The magazine just got here finally two weeks ago. I had better get all of my issues through this subscription, or there will be trouble... That said, this is the best English-language computer enthusiast magazine in the world, bar none. PC Format is too expensive (I don't need a DVD disc of stuff that I can download on my own). CPU is just a shill for whoever pays them nowadays, their articles were boring, and their hardware reviews were not detailed enough anyway. PC world has a good privacy watch section, but their hardware reviews are nonexistent save for whatever desktop they liked that month (stupid benchmark charts are useless). Maximum PC is okay (I have a subscription), but they need to sell it without the DVD also... actually, I think I'm going to order a subscription through Amazon here to avoid renewing for $29.95... CustomPC goes in-depth on things that really matter, like the anatomy of a CPU/GPU, or what power supply is the most efficient... It IS expensive, but I think its well worth it. Update 2012: James Gorbold, the editor of Custom PC, has left the magazine (replaced by Ben Hardwedgie), and it has greatly changed as a result. It's more like Maximum PC, reporting on a lot of stuff I don't care about, like smartphones (I know about Spybubble and Stinger). They have given more space to Mr. Leather and his modification tutorials, so that's a positive. But I find myself fondly reading past recent issues more (8-core AMD processor issue, etc.). The magazine has become more "emo", with guys writing articles literally apologizing for being male. I don't know if I will be renewing.

Murder Most Foul

Murder Most FoulThough "Murder Most Foul" also features true crime stories, it is a quarterly magazine [only published 4 times a year]. The stories do make for riveting reading, focusing on crimes committed in the UK and also US. There are photographs that accompany the articles. Recommended to fans of true crime though I prefer the monthly publications such as True Crime and Master Detective.

great true crime stories glad at least England still has mags like this very hard to find here in the states wish it was monthly but hey I'll take what I can get...
