Seeing the Everyday

Seeing the EverydayI love this magazine! It is filled with great pictures, and stories that inspire me as a mother. I feel so buoyed up after reading these stories. The experiences expressed are of the simple things a parent did that gave that individual the tools needed to become who they are as an adult. It shares how the small, seemingly insignificant interactions of everyday make a huge, positive impact in the life of a child. While I still have improvement to make, this magazine has helped me, over and over, check the responses and reactions that I give to my children when they come to me with their various concerns. Anyone can benefit by incorporating the saying that was in one issue: "The first thing first is kindness."

Supergirl

SupergirlI like the character and the many forms of artwork used to portray the character. And Supergirl is now featured as herself rather than Superman in a short skirt which is refreshing. And buying the subscription thru Amazon makes for a convenient bargain saving about 35% off cover price (and no sales tax!).

liked the Maetrix/Linda Danvers supergirl, plus there are an oddly numerous amount of Krypton survivors, takes away from Clark's last survivor thing

Midwest Outdoors

Midwest OutdoorsMidwest Outdoors is an excellent magaizine for the outdoorsman. The articles are written by people that actually fish, hunt in these locations. I personally have fished in a couple of the location and remembered the techniques they used, tried them and they produced fish equal too or even bigger than what was in the article. This magazine is also centered around the areas that i live and fish in so that makes it realistic for me that i do and can go to these areas, where as with some magazines there is no way i will ever go there or let alone have a chance to hunt or fish. All in all this is a quality magazine with quality writers that can get there point or story across in a manner that the common person can understand

American Bee Journal

American Bee JournalAlthough this publication is geared toward the advanced hobbyist or commercial beekeeper, I found it to be very helpful as a beginner. Learning about the beekeeping industry from a more global perspective is important if one is considering expanding from the hobby to earning a living through beekeeping.

You're not going to learn how to get started here in the magazine, but the American Bee Journal moves you past the simplest "where do I put the hive" to seeing what other people do, what the history is, and what all different scale bee operations look like. The context of beekeeping is quite important, and this is a great way to get that context.

My husband is a beekeeper and I am a bee lover. We both enjoy the magazine for different reasons. He reads from cover to cover and I enjoy looking at the pictures and when my husband asks me to purchase items he needs for his bees, the classified section and the wide assortment of ads give me all the help I need.
