I have been reading this magazine for 3 years and I have not found ANYTHING in the US that comes close to the content and knowledge packed with these pages. Plus it comes with a CD filled with various Full, trial and other Antivirus software that is great.

It is expensive but if you have to buy it at a Border's books or Barnes & Noble's it's $15.99 copy. But in my opinion--well worth it as I am always referencing it for various articles and fixes.

National Geographic - French ed

Subscribed to the French edition of National Geo so my son could have some reading material to continue to learn French. The subscription service purchase went off well it is amazon after all but the magazine was delayed from delivery for 3 months before the first edition came. Good product but just a slight downgrade for the subscription delivery slowness.

MAD Magazine (1-year auto-renewal)

The magazine is hyper liberal which I am but honestly I keep politics and humor in two different parts of my brain. I still love it though. My only grip is they ship in no protection other than a light paper cover so the magazine usually looks awful after going through the mail system. For the cost they charge they should at least be in a plastic bag like every other magazine.

I started reading this magazine in the early 90's, when I was a kid. My dad had a few from the 60's and 70's, and I have expanded my collection since then to include a good amount from the 80's. That stuff was brilliant.

Artists and writers die, we know that. New artists and writers can be good, but the MAD magazine of the 2000's isn't worth buying. Why did MAD start putting in ads? Wasn't it making enough money by itself? I loved MAD for the fact that it was ad-free, and the brilliant writing and artwork, laced with biting satire. Now, the humor in there is more of the "potty humor" level, and is the kind of thing juveniles laugh over.

Now it's not worth the paper it's printed on, and CRACKED magazine has gone the same way and already ended publication several years ago. Last time I read a MAD magazine, I found myself completely bored and impatient with it, and wondering how such a great magazine could have become so lackluster.

This was a gift for a teenager, but my husband also loves reading it. It is definitely a conversation starter in our house and gets read by several.

I have received "ladies'magazines" for many years and keep coming back to GH. I am 57, single, have little reading time for pleasure and little interest in or time for walking through stores to keep up with products, new ideas, etc for women. I don't' even spend much time on the net for this information. I like GH's reputation for quality (GH Seal of Approval and assessment of products), the price (it requires ads to sell the magazine at this low price in today's market; GH passes some on to the customer by keeping the subscription cost low), and the timeliness and the variety of topics interesting women. And I enjoy the tidbits of celebrity information without excessively intimate details of their personal lives that have no impact on the reason I enjoy their performances/talent. It's the only "overall" magazine of this kind that addresses things I want to know about on a consistent basis without becoming the same every month, which is something I don't like about many other periodicals. I also enjoy the ads; otherwise, I would never know of foods, beauty aids, cooking techniques and equipment, fashions, shoes, books, etc. I look forward to getting my GH. When topics greatly interest me, I cut and file them. Also, when I finish with one while flying, I can always find another woman who is happy to take it on their flight.

As some of the youngsters say today, "It's all good!"

Whether you are looking for the latest news on your favorite star or are looking for a new recipe...this magazine has it all.

You know how many magazines say: "Oh, we are going to tell you about...." And five minutes later, you are still looking for "that" article. Well, in this magazine they have a great Contents page with a special: "On the Cover" section. So, if you want to read about Nicole Kidman she is on page 110! OK, that was in the November 2001 issue and it is quite a sad article. What ever happened to the fairy tale? I just don't know...

Now, if you love reading about other people who are making the news, the People section always has something fun to read about. Fashion and beauty gives ideas on the latest nail color or makeup tips. The articles on relationships are interesting.

This magazine also has sections for: Health & Well Being, Consumer Sense, The Better Way, Food & Home, Fiction, Departments and Columns. The TECH section is always of interest. There is a definite focus on women, as in: "The Best Cell Phones for Women." Plus, this is where you can find Heloise giving out the newest Household Tips.

My favorite page is the looks, trends, and news page where they always give you ideas for holidays or feature beauty products like Pumpkin Pie body wash in November. The recipes are often multicultural and you can find anything from Lebkuchen to Pavlova with Passion Fruit Sorbet.

Good Housekeeping is a wholesome, clean, serious magazine. Various topics that may be found in an issue how to raise children, household tips, financial help, or marriage advice suggest that the magazine is geared towards the middle-aged to the older woman. I'm married and only in my 20s, but I still get so much out of reading the articles and advice anyway.

I absolutely love this magazine! I was looking for a magazine with good, long articles to read, and I found this great one. They even re-designed the look, and it's excellent. Everything is more organized, clearly separated into their respective sections, and each page is clearly marked with the section header so I'll always know which section I'm on.

I particularly enjoy the articles about real-life triumphs and tragedies, Talk to Me by Joy Behar about relationship advice, and Peggy Post's Etiquette Dilemmas.

Ok, Amazon has it at 10.00 as of Feb 2004, and the cover price is 2.50 Enough said right there. But let me inspire you further, Amazon's price is even cheaper than directly from the publisher!!! OK, as for the magazine itself, this is another one my mom likes to read and which I find myself checking out from time to time. Good Housekeeping has existed for many years and is ranked 5th in the USA for sales! It has a circulation of over 4,000,000. It covers an array of topics including: food, fitness, beauty, child care, money management, health news, travel, and human interest stories. This is a magazine that would be great for any homemaker (is that one word or two?) If you are a parent or someone who has their own place, this magazine could be a big benefit to you. It's main aim is at women, though many men read it for its insightful articles.

Was once an excellent, reliable mag, with all sorts of helpful information on different subjects. Now, it's mostly adverts with a few pages of info and recipes here and there, and half of it seems to be geared toward housewives who are intent upon watching every calorie. I guess if you're ocd about your weight and you're looking for another way to beat yourself up, this is for you.

Military Heritage

One the best military history magazines on the market. Always well written with articles from diverse and well balanced historical periods. Highly recommended.

I like this magazine a lot. I also get Military history and World War 2 magazine and this is my favorite of the three. The best thing about military history magazines in general is getting a new issue in and learning about something you had no idea happened. An example would be England ruling Argentina and the Philippines, did you know that had happened? I sure didn't. Also you will read, like in this issue I have here, about a battle contingency England had to invade the Washington territory in 1861 at the start of the Civil War; it's stuff like this that keeps me very interested in reading this magazine more so than the World War 2 stuff that I've probably over read (although it's in here also). Great glossy paper and pictures also makes it stand out from my other subscriptions, highly recommended.

Military Heritage appears to me to be a more scholarly magazine than Military History of which I also am a subscriber. This magazine will appeal to the Historian as well a the lay reader. I find the book reviews most incisive and helpful.

There are precious few magazines out there for the military historian with the appeal that this one has. The illustrations are stunning and complement the well-written and informative text month after month. One of my favorite magazines and a must-have for the military historian.

I love the ideas in this magazine--it covers a gamut of them. Look forward to each issue. Thanks for asking.

I have received 3 of the magazines so far, and I have been pretty disappointed. But maybe that's just me. I am a potter that does a lot of hand-building, and this book usually has only 1 pottery idea, and it has been nothing spectactular or very original so far. Has ideas for ceramic artists, about painting their greenware, but even some of that seems tacky. I was hoping for some fun, new creative ideas, but so far have not seen that. Lots of advertising.

This magazine comes out every two months and has very good hunting, calling, and trapping tips and strategies and their fur price charts are on the same level as Fur Fish and Game.

You won't find any kind of compromise in The Trapper & Predator Caller. This unapologetic "news" magazine has three fundamental goals:

1. To deliver "how to" material on traps, trapping, furbearers, and predator calling. A recent editorial was titled "Disposing Evidence: it's important to be discrete when getting rid of carcasses" (Dec. 2010, p. 6).

2. To serve as a bulletin board for state trapping associations. Many state trapping associations use the T&PC to publish the minutes of their business meetings, report on the success of their conventions, advertise fur sales, and rant against the antis.

3. To advertise products and services relating to trapping and predator calling. There are ads galore.

If this is want you want, then this is what you'll get! American Trapper, the official publication of the National Trappers Association, has more information on state, national and global issues affecting trapping and the fur markets.

So, there is actually a magazine out, that discusses how to cruelly catch our fellow living souls, in painful traps, where they linger for days in pain, get eaten alive by other wildlife, or get their heads chopped off by the trappers who then stuff them and admire their kill?

This is why 'evolution' remains a theory, not a fact.

That neanderthals, to this day, trap and murder innocent souls, and get excited about it, shows that evolution is still a work in progress.

What a disgraceful waste of paper this is. It isnt worthy of being a substitute for toilet paper.
