4-Wheel & Off-Road (1-year auto-renewal)

Been subscribed for 5+ years now. Great mag. Slightly more "hardcore" then the sister mag, it aims at slightly more capable vehicles. They still cover a huge cariety, and still come back to more conventional, near stock vehicles from time to time. Great all around mag.

Growing up, this magazine got me through high school. I read each issue over and over and I learned so much while restoring an old Chevy. Unfortunately, the magazine is NOTHING like is used to be. First off, it's very skinny magazine now with maybe half the pages they used to have and there are more ads than actual stories. There are also at least 4 or 5 pages of Reader's Rides in every issues! There used to only be 1 or 2 pages of Reader's Rides, at most. They're clearly running out of articles to write.

Worst of all, they now write lengthy reviews of stock vehicles that have absolutely nothing to do with real off-roading. My last issue had a detailed review for the new Jeep Cherokee and the issue before that dedicated a handful of pages to Chevy's new half-ton pickup... c'mon! These aren't off-road stories, it's just more advertising! If I wanted to read reviews of bone-stock vehicles, I'd buy Car and Driver or Motor Trend. They've almost completely taken out everything that made Petersen's the best 4-wheel magazine you could buy.

Save your money, it's just not the magazine it used to be.

We ordered 4-Wheel Magazine on January 4th. The estimated subscription starting date on Amazon website says MAY 4TH!!! It was supposed to be a birthday gift...I guess it will just be early for NEXT YEAR!!!

"INTERSEC" is one magazine that is absolutely indispensable for a macro view of the worldwide security industry. The magazine covers the whole range of security issues including the terrorist threat, human trafficking, emergency planning, economic crime, security technology, security operations and management.

This is an enlightening magazine which is a valuable asset for those involved in security. It has well written feature articles, special reports, commentary, trends and news on security issues written by well informed journalism.

It is the most important magazine I read professionally on security issues. If you are involved in security anywhere in the world, this is one magazine you must read to know what is really going on.

Paper Creations

I like the format of this magazine, which clearly distinguishes its advertising from its projects (not always true for other paper craft magazines), and is printed on 100% recycled paper. The project descriptions are very clear, and there is even a fold-out newsprint sheet with cut-outs that go with various projects.

This American paper crafting magazine is published once a quarter and the listed 2011 subscription rate is $19.97 for four issues.

I'm basically interested in making greeting cards, and this magazine provides lots of inspiration, although it also includes other items crafted from paper, such as gift bags, boxes, and party favors.

The only drawback with this magazine's card-making projects is that most of them won't fit into standard-size American envelopes, e.g. A2 (for 4.25" by 5.5" cards), A7 (for 5"x7" cards), and A9 (for 5.5"x8.5" cards). Unless you plan to make your own envelopes, you will need to resize most of this magazine's card designs. Also, the majority of the greeting card projects seem to be square, which will cost you extra postage to mail them.

This drawback extends to the cut-out sheet--I usually end up reducing the cut-out sizes on my printer/copier so that I can get the cards I make from them to fit into standard envelopes.

Deer & Deer Hunting (1-year)

I placed my order and within three weeks I had received my first copy in the mail.

Now that's fast service for a magazine subscription. Great articles for the deer hunter. I am starting my third year reading this magazine it has great articles and illustrations and it is solely on deer hunting. A Good buy for the money. A++

This magazine does have decent content, which is why I subscribed in the first place. As an admitted Whitetail junkie I count on good magazines to help me make it through the long off season to October. This magazine is great...when I actually receive an issue. Today is April 8th. Amazon has my order date as December 2nd. The first and only issue I have received was the March 2012 issue. The address label affixed to that issue said my subscription terminates in December 2012. Sooo, I won't get a January or February 2013 issue? I called the subscription office and left a message about a month ago and haven't heard a response. So, last week I called again and the lady who answered the phone got irritated with me because her department doesn't handle subscriptions. She gave me a different number to call and, when I did, nobody answered...again. I won't be renewing my subscription.

Update: 11 April 2012

I finally heard back from their customer service and they have, at least, made an attempt to fix the situation. They've changed the expiration date to January 2013 and resent the June issue. We'll see if it actually makes it to my mailbox.

This is by far the best magazine available to reefkeeping hobbyists. I have read every issue released so far. The magazine explains techniques promoted by modern reef aquarists around the world, and especially from Europe.

Some of the techniques are very new and the methods are not always viable by many hobbyists who enter and exit out of frustration, but the magazine has a basic section for new aquarists.

The reason for 4/5 stars is that some of the claims made by paid advertisers are insulting to the readers intelligence.

CORAL Magazine is alive and well and has a new publisher.

Coral Magazine skips the basics and ignores the temptation to cater to a more casual crowd with every-other-issue features on tank cycling and the dangers of overfeeding. Instead, it features less general topics with a slightly more esoteric approach while remaining accessible to common hobbyists such as myself. Having spent innumerable hours scouring the web and nearly every forum available on marine aquaculture, I can confidently say one can find novel information and ideas in Coral Magazine that are rarely, if ever, discussed anywhere else. (See August/September 2007 issue discussing what the author calls "induced longitudinal fission" of ricordea for a great example.)

This magazine provides incredible photographs, well written articles, and insightful commentary. Any hobbyist who has spent more than a few hours reading through books or online forums in this subject should greatly appreciate Coral magazine.

This is a wonderful magazine for anyone interested in reefkeeping. The topics are discussed in depth and the photography is awesome. This magazine is worth every penny.

WEll, I shouldn't say cover to cover, but I do read more of this that I do any other magazine. I at the most usually get a weeks worth of casual reading from a magazine, but this one I get about a month out of. Between this and TFH I always seem to have reading material. I do with this was a monthly production though!
